I hope you guys had a productive week and a fun-filled Valentine’s Day or as I like to call it V Day! However, if you didn’t have fun, that is okay because it was just another day that brought us closer to the weekend. That’s right, it’s almost Friday, which means, we are making it through another long week! The stress was high and now it’s almost time to get down and party.
I don’t know about you but Friday is also payday for me so you know I am ready for that!
On a sad note…
It’s sad news to everyone who watches, “Once Upon A Time”, as they just announced that the show is being canceled.
I know! I know! I’m not ready for the OUAT to be over but the 7th season will mark the end of the series. *tears* I enjoyed every minute of this show because it was so inspiring with its messages of hope, faith, and magic. It also reminded me to continue to see the good in people and that even if someone starts down the wrong path, they can change and be who they are meant to be. I am mostly going to miss this show because of it’s message of love and family because there aren’t many shows that are centered around a family in a positive light. I will miss you OUAT. I will also miss the familiar faces of the series who played the characters: Snow, Prince Charming, Henry, Queen Regina, Emma Swan, and Hook. So now I will patiently wait for the completion of season 7. As I watch it on Netflix, I will probably bury my face in a pile of popcorn to hide my tears because the show is really ending after all these years! You will be missed. 
On a better note…
I feel that the balance has finally shifted in my life. I felt very unsettled in my day to day routine and not everything is perfectly in place as I would like, but there is a new sense of hope. Following the path of the artist as a career can leave room in your heart for doubt sometimes but I know it’s what I want to do and I love listening to people sing when they can move you. There is just something about raw vocals with everything stripped away except maybe a guitar or piano that can turn a simple song into a ballad. It’s like reading a good book that you just can’t put down; it’s the rawness and intensity of what is being said that feels so real to you and you feel so connected to someone and that someone could be a complete stranger. It’s moments like that when you feel like you just received an invitation to be a part of someone else’s world. That’s the kind of music that I want to write and somehow I forgot the reason why I fell in love with music. I love the way it can connect people and can change your mood. There’s nothing like a good rhythm and a beat to dance your troubles away to.
In closing…”Black Panther” is hitting theaters this weekend!
Are you going to go see it? It looks absolutely incredible. I was never big on superhero movies, I just started watching more of them recently but this one has me pumped to see what is going to happen. From the make-up, costumes, accents, culture, and hyper-advanced-futuristic technology, I am “shook!” I have been reading in the media, that this movie is already breaking records! This is a movie that you just don’t want to miss. So I may have to write a MOVIE TALK about it after I watch it, I don’t know yet. I may just want to sit in the audience and take notes but guys, make sure you check out the movie and let me know what you thought about it via social media.
