It’s hard to go for what you want,
Especially when you don’t know what’s on the other side.
Change is hard but sometimes inevitable.
I’ve learned to accept change and to grow from it.
It’s so easy to let one bad experience speak for any new experiences,
And sometimes it’s hard to open up when you’ve always felt silenced.
But one day we will look back at the struggle and smile;
Knowing those demons couldn’t beat us and —
We are more powerful than the negative words they spoke about us.
