AUGUST UPDATE: I Moved To California!

Hey guys I’m back with another post.

That’s right. You read the title correctly, I moved to California, more importantly, Los Angeles. I haven’t really wrote about my location but I spent my last 5 years is Texas. I was in college then working full time at a job that paid the bills but left me drained and without the energy to pursue my dreams.

I made a big decision and decided to move to California because I’ve always wanted to since I was a little girl but I never thought it was possible. Ive had the same dream of being in LA acting and singing and I kept getting this message that I need to connect more with my inner child.

I know that 8 and 9 year old Nina was fearless and knew what she wanted and she worked hard to get it. She had unshakeable faith in herself and her dreams no matter how many people doubted or told her no, she kept telling herself that one day she will be living her dreams.

I just want to make her proud. I want to make sure she is heard and that she knows I never stopped believing. Its been hard holding on to a dream and feeling like its not gonna happen sometimes. I love being in LA and every day feels like I’m one step closer to my dreams.

Some of my dreams have been coming true. I had two photo shoots done and headshots. Ive been to some LA parties/clubs. I was in my first music video. I’m applying for acting work. I am also recording my first original song. I am working with some friends to develop a web-series online. We finished our first script for the pilot episode.

So much is happening right now. So many good things and blessings. I’m grateful to be here and be surrounded by so many talented artists and friends. I knew this move was the right thing for me to do and I would regret not taking a chance and coming out here.
