CHEERS TO THE WEEKEND

You guys are getting a double feature this time.

I had a pretty awesome weekend to tell you guys about and it was long over due.It was one of those parties where you have to dress like the color of the alcoholic beverage and food you bring. The party was at Allison’s friends’ house. The house was pretty cool. It was two-stories. Those that know me pretty well will know what stood out to me the most. They had a jam corner where they had careful selected acoustic and electric guitar and a keyboard. They had a movie shrine room dedicated to their favorite horror movies. It was beyond cool and so artistic and creative. We were given the full house tour and within an hour we were helping finish setting up snack trays, dancing to the music, then rewarding ourselves with some of the pinwheels for all our hard work.

As the night carried on we met some new interesting people, played as few games, visited the chill room a few dozen times, and while I hoped maybe someone would show up my age to be single no such luck but I did have a good time just being with my bestie and it felt good just showing up to support someone. And I was grateful just to get out. I have been recovering slowly after having that needle in my spine. I could actually walk without feeling constant pain lol.

Sunday me and Allie went to see Mean Girls, the Musical. It was funny and I liked it but it was not as good as the original. I’m sorry to say. To me I like musicals but I didn’t like all the singing. It was too much singing for me and the songs weren’t good or catchy enough for me to deem them necessary for the film or the plot. It just wasn’t good enough to be remade in my opinion. I think if the song selection would have been way better, I would have enjoyed the movie way more. But yeah it was still a great weekend. And I got to rest a lot and come back to work renewed. I am looking forward to this new week.
