KC Underground

Hello my darlings,

My apologies for my tardiness. I have been exhausted with the emotional weight of a lot that has been going on but I’ve had to shake it off and remember that I am a bad bitch and bad bitches like looking at cool shit. That being said my boyfriend took me to this lowkey spot that I’m calling “KC Underground” where there are these cool tunnels and spots in lower level Kansas City with graffiti art and I just had to get some pictures.

The pictures don’t really do it justice. This car was pretty gnarly but I did like all the colors that they used on the car. It definitely looked like a destructive art piece lol.

It was such a nice day and the sun was so beautiful the way it shone on the trees and the caves. It just made me appreciate nature and life a little bit more. I didn’t really find beauty in graffiti much before but idk there was something unique in what I saw on this day.

I couldn’t tell you what my favorite piece was, possibly the graffiti that looked like stencil with the purple in pink that I took a picture with it behind me in the background. I had no idea places like this existed in Kansas City. This was my hometown but I hadn’t been home in nearly 10 years and when I lived here I pretty much worked and went to school. I didn’t enjoy anything about living here and I pretty thought there wasn’t anything interesting to know about it. However my boyfriend loves this place and wants to show me everything to love about this city so I’m looking forward to what’s next.

I hope you guys enjoyed today’s blog and I will do my best to try and be more active again. Mental health is real but I know I can overcome whatever I face and still show up for you guys!
