I went to my first tree lighting ceremony this weekend. That was pretty cool. It drew a pretty large crowd. They were serving up popcorn and hot chocolate. They had Santa and Mrs. Claus which you could get in line for and take your picture with on their sleigh and get a nice family photo.
They had some cars decked out lights so we might have missed the most parade but it was quite a sight.

The announcer came out to thank everyone for the turnout, gifted the check purchases and donations made for the event, and then the countdown started.
You could hear the all the Christmas classics being played. As we waited in the long line for hot chocolate Michael started to sing. It wasn’t very loud. He was just sing along being silly. I think he was trying to make me laugh; enjoying himself while we’re waiting. One of the guys in front of us in line I guess didn’t care for the karaoke and turned around. I stared at him and started to sing too then the man turned back around.

I think I’ve mentioned it before but I really HATE bullies. By the time we got to the front of the line the hot chocolate was pretty much cold and we were told we had to get in a separate line for the popcorn so we decided we were gonna go home. We got some cute pictures tho. And we looked at a couple shops on the walk back for places to go to next time.
We even ended up finding a cute popcorn spot that was perfect. We literally talked about our childhood on the driver over and how we used to love getting those mixed popcorn containers with the red hot popcorn and the caramel, white cheddar, and kettle corn. We found a spot that sells multiple different types of popcorn with even more variety. So of course we got a bag to take home.
All in all a good night.

Love always.
Xo,

Nina.
