Bring on the Holidays

It’s almost Christmas.

This is my first holiday in almost a decade with a partner.

I’ve never had a New Year’s Eve or Mistletoe kiss. As cheesy as it sounds I’ve always wanted to experience both of those.

I’m looking forward to both of these holidays not just for those two traditions but just this time to spend with my boyfriend. I’m usually working on these holidays as well. So I’m excited to have this time to actually enjoy it and ring in this new year.

It was always traditional for me as a kid to watch Eloise at Christmas time. It was my guilty pleasure. It made me believe that wonderful things would happen and the magic of Christmas time.

Do you guys remember as a kid the rush you would get on New Year’s Eve? You would stay up late cause you wouldn’t wait til Christmas Day to open up presents? You would beg to open just one at least to tie you over til tomorrow? Then you would be up bright and early to see what you got? I was always grateful no matter what was wrapped underneath that tree. It was more about everything leading up to those moments and that time together that made it so special. I never want to forget that.
