It’s Goin’ down!

So excited to share with you that our new song, “It’s Goin’ Down” has finally dropped. It is my first song on streaming platforms. This song is a collaboration and also my first collaboration and I am so proud of how well it turned out. I hadn’t heard the full song when I recorded my vocals for the chorus. YaBoi Da Coach put the whole track together seamlessly and it sounds amazing! I was so very impressed.

Side-note: the song is about loving LA, something I also didn’t know when I was recording it, so that also made the song that much more special!

I am so proud of this record. The first of many I keep saying. All it takes is one. The song is available on most streaming platforms. I have also linked one of my songs I recorded when I was in LA.

I am just so excited! I expect great things from both YaBoi Da Coach and J Biz R moving forward. I hope we do get the chance to collaborate again. They both have such a unique voice that they bring to the material. The collaboration definitely motivated me even more to get my music out. I have a lot of demos and sessions that I have been reworking and haven’t finished. I don’t think anyone explains how complicated music making and recording can get when it doesn’t sound how you want it to. I think I can get stuck in my head sometimes recording and re-recording until finally I have to stop and take a break.

However, the new music is coming. I will be getting back into songwriting sessions and hopefully working with a new producer in the future (manifesting) because we all know as an artist you cannot do it all on your own. This is definitely a new chapter. And I have been debating on whether calling these posts chapters still or diary entries for categories but I think they are both so it works. My life has never been linear so why try to force it? I am so grateful for this new opportunity and I have to shout out my friend Allison. I never would have had this chance if she wouldn’t have thought of me for the collaboration. She truly is a kind person and remarkable friend.
